Public Consultation of Public Legal Education Strategy<\/a><\/h3>\n

ALTRI Center is implementing the project \u201cEnhance Citizen Access to Justice through Public Legal Education\u201d, as part of the project \u201cThe Civic Engagement for a Functional Judiciary System and Access to Justice in Albania\u201d, financed by the European Union and implemented by Save the Children and the Centre of Integrated Legal Services and Practices.<\/p>\n

In the framework of this project, will be held public consultation meetings on the Strategy for Public Legal Education, which is in the process of reviewing by the Assembly of the Republic of Albania in the framework of the Justice Reform. The civil society organizations, have been invited to engage in the strategy public consultation process, as well as to facilitate the consultation meetings with the civil society and institutions in local level.<\/p>\n

The findings and conclusions deriving from the public consultations, will serve to the Parliamentary Law Commission in its work to drafting and reviewing the draft-decision \u201cOn the approval of the Public Legal Education Strategy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Public consultative meeting on Action Plan of the Strategy \u201cFor public legal education”<\/a>
\n<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

In the framework of the Justice Reform, in the Assembly of the Republic of Albania has been deposited project-strategy “For the legal education of the public”. Following this process, we are working on the drafting of the Action Plan (AP).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>In order to design a comprehensive, real and transparent product, are held consultative meetings.\u00a0<\/span>Civil society organizations are invited to engage in the public consultation process of the Action Plan of the Strategy and organize consultations with civil society organizations and institutions at the local level.<\/span><\/p>\n

The awareness campaign for public legal education<\/a>
\n<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The public awareness campaign addresses issues related to the meaning of public legal education; the importance and innovations of the project-Strategy on Public Legal Education; the role of media and civil society in providing this education. The campaign also provides information on the levels of citizens’ knowledge of their rights and obligations and their access to information. These and more are addressed during the campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n
